Card Word Puzzle Meets Pemberley

I absolutely love the Pemberley paper pack!!!  It’s going to be around for about a year, but I’m already anxious about the inevitable retirement of this beautiful paper.  What to do?…..  Make my own!!!!

I experimented all afternoon and finally came up with something I was happy with.  To be honest, I’m not the best stamp colour-inner.  I have no copics 😦  nor do I really understand the concept of light and shading in stuff.  Geez, what is a girl to do?  After many attempts and a little frustration…. I just wiped my sponge dauber inked with Indian Corn Blue across the stamped image (Outdoor Denim ink) and VOILA it didn’t look half bad.  Sooooooooo, I went with that.  And, here’s the result…. Ta Da…..

This is a 12 x 12 piece of Bamboo paper that I stamped with some of the stamps from the Card Word Puzzle stamp set.  The flowers from collection are the same design as the flowers from the Pemberley paper collection.   It’s pretty good despite the fact that it is a prototype.  I hope this inspires you to be your own designer as well!!

This is the card I made for yesterday’s Mojo Monday sketch.
Are you ready for the video? I really had no idea how it was going to end up and it might be a little scary watching my thought process in action. Thank goodness for editing!
